Dr. Wes L. Hill is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Sierra Foothills Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Inspired by a Family Tradition of Oral Surgery
Dr. Hill is a second-generation oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He was raised in Southern Utah, where his father built a well-respected oral surgery practice.
During his teenage years, Dr. Hill assisted his father at the practice. Observing the difference his father made in patients’ lives inspired him to pursue a career in the same profession.
Education and Dental Training
Dr. Hill completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, earning a degree in medical biology.
He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry.
Medical and Oral Surgery Residency Training
Following dental school, Dr. Hill completed a six-year, dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgery residency through the University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville.
During this comprehensive program, he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree and certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He also completed advanced general surgery training. Altogether, Dr. Hill completed approximately 14 years of undergraduate, dental, medical, and specialty surgical education.
Dr. Hill is licensed to practice dentistry and medicine in California.
Board Certification and Surgical Experience
Dr. Hill is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive training and experience across the full scope of the specialty.
He began his career in Southern California, where he worked in private practice and served as a facial trauma surgeon at what is now USC Arcadia Hospital, formerly Methodist Hospital of Southern California.
Dr. Hill is now a partner at Sierra Foothills Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, where he helps the practice provide advanced surgical care in a patient-focused environment.

Dr. Hill has dedicated his time and surgical expertise to helping people with limited access to dental and medical care. His volunteer efforts have taken him to Mexico, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
During these international mission trips, he has performed procedures including cleft lip and palate repair, corrective jaw surgery, treatment of oral pathology, and tooth removal.

Outside the Practice
Dr. Hill moved to the Sacramento area with his family and enjoys the people and lifestyle of Northern California, which he is proud to call home.
He is married to Diya, who is also a dentist and whom he met while attending dental school at UCLA. They have two daughters and enjoy spending time together as a family.
Dr. Hill also enjoys traveling and following sports. He is an avid sports fan and has completed his first marathon.
